Cops claim an accused Spanish cannibal cut his mom into 1,000 pieces, stashed the parts in lunch boxes and then shared them with his dog.
Alberto Sanchez Gomez, 28, now faces more than 15 years in prison if he is convicted of butchering Maria Soledad Gomez, 68.
His murder trial began Wednesday in Madrid.
Detectives arrested the unemployed waiter in 2019 at the apartment he shared with his mother.
Sources claim the accused cannibal had been eating his mom “bit by bit” over a two-week period.
Parts of his mother’s remains were discovered in Tupperware containers stashed in the fridge.
According to The UK Sun, he admitted on the witness stand to hearing “hidden messages” from the TV.
Voices of his neighbors, friends and even celebrities told him: “Kill your mom.”
In their indictment, prosecutors alleged Alberto strangled his mother to death during one of their frequent arguments.
The indictment states: “The accused then transferred his mom’s body to the bedroom and put it on the bed with the aim of making her body disappear. To do that he cut her up using a carpenter’s saw and two kitchen knives.”
“Once he had cut her body up he would eat bits of it from time to time over a period of around a fortnight, putting some of the parts of her body in Tupperware containers around the apartment and in the fridge and throwing others away in plastic bags.”
