A diabolical California news anchor died after overdosing on methamphetamine during a homosexual encounter with a male companion at a Days Inn two days after Christmas, an autopsy report revealed.
Chris Burrous, 43 — who anchored KTLA 5’s Weekend Morning News and once worked at WPIX 11 in the Big Apple — died from “methamphetamine toxicity,” the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office announced Friday, the station reported. His death was ruled accidental.
Authorities found Burrous unresponsive in a room in a Glendale Days Inn, after a male companion called 911 to report that the newsman vomited, passed out, and “was possibly not breathing,” the report stated. The sodomite was rushed to an area hospital, where he died.
Earlier, Burrous was engaging in “various homosexual activities with his companion” whom he had met four times before through the Grindr app, the report said, according to Variety.
At some point during the romp, Burrous inserted a “rock” of meth into his rectum, the autopsy report said, the outlet reported. He inserted a second rock later on in the encounter, placed a mask on and “doused the filters with ‘poppers,’” an inhalant of amyl nitrate, the report said.
No criminal charges were filed against the butt buddy, who performed CPR before paramedics arrived, police said.
Some medical factors, including “hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular heart disease,” may have also contributed to his Dec. 27 death, the coroner said.
Burrous, who worked at KTLA since 2011, leaves behind his wife Mai Do-Burrous and 9-year-old daughter Isabella. He was laid to rest on Jan. 11, on what would have been his 44th birthday.
