A private security guard is facing charges, accused of engaging in a sex act with a child he was transporting while on duty, according to police.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said 31-year-old David Marsh, a security officer with G4S, was arrested following an investigation into the allegations.
On Labor Day, the child molester -- who police said was on duty -- transported a juvenile patient with an Involuntary Commitment Order from a medical center in Rowan County to another medical facility in Charlotte.
According to CMPD, during the drive, the pedophile engaged in a sex act with the child. After the victim told a medical professional about what happened, CMPD’s Crimes Against Children Unit responded to investigate.
On Wednesday, the child rapist spoke with detectives and after the interview he was arrested.
The sex terrorist has been charged with statutory rape greater than 6 years, statutory sex offense, two counts of sexual activity by a custodian and two counts of indecent liberties with a child.
No other details have been released and the investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
