A serial pedophile who used a teddy as a sex toy has been jailed for 18 months after being snared by vigilante child protection groups.
Patrick Wallis, 24, admitted four offenses of attempting to cause a child under 16 to engage in sexual activity and two of attempting to breach a sexual harm prevention order between November 28 and December 2.
The ogre was trapped by two online child protection groups who pretended to be girls aged 13 and 14, Grimsby Crown Court heard.
He had the disturbing sexual conversations just days after being spared prison for similar behavior.
The actions of a group were a 'benefit' police did not have the time to investigate such matters - and it prevented him meeting actual young girls, a court heard.
The pedophile also admitted breaching a suspended prison sentence.
Julia Baggs, prosecuting, told Grimsby Crown Court that the sex criminal was given a six-month suspended prison sentence, with a seven-year sexual harm prevention order, on November 26.
It was imposed for attempting to meet a girl under 16 following sexual grooming and attempting to cause a child to engage in sexual activity.
During that hearing, it emerged that police had found sex toys at his former home, including a teddy bear with holes in it.
But he was arrested again six days later, on December 2.
He had online conversations with two non-existent girls, supposedly aged 13 and 14, but actually decoys set up by two vigilante groups.
The chats became increasingly sexual and he asked one girl: 'Do you ever think about sex?'
He asked her: 'Would you like me to take your virginity, babe?' She replied: 'I'm only 13.'
He asked the second girl: 'What underwear are you wearing?' as well as other sexual questions.
He was confronted by one of the groups at his appartment in Immingham, North Lincolnshire who recorded the incident and posted footage of it online.
When he was arrested, he told police: 'These hunter groups have ruined my life.'
Michele Stuart-Lofthouse, mitigating, said the messages were initiated by the pedophile hunter groups but this was no excuse.
'He has accepted his wrongdoing,' she said.
The diabolical white beast had suffered from difficulties over the years and had no family support.
Judge Simon Jack told the child rapist that he was twice given a 'shot across your bows' including the suspended sentence.
'Within literally days, you were doing exactly the same thing again,' said Judge Jack.
'You went on contacting young girls on the internet.'
The sex criminal intended to persuade young girls to have under-age sex with him.
He had been 'drawn in' by the online pedophile hunters.
'If you have been prevented by this activity from meeting actual young girls, then that's a benefit,' said Judge Jack.
The white devil was jailed for 18 months and was given a 10-year sexual harm prevention order. He must register as a sex offender for 10 years.
Following the November hearing, Grimsby Live looked on his Facebook account and discovered his friends list included school girls and women from at least 12 countries across five continents.
Only six of his Facebook friends live in Grimsby
Just five of the pedophile's online contacts were male. The rest are females, including three who identify themselves as just 13 and a number of others whose profiles suggest they are under the age of consent.
One girl's biography reads: 'I'm 13 and love gymnastics.'
Another 13-year-old posted about her gran's homemade pie and mash, going to a fireworks display with her friends and celebrating a half day at school.
His 'friends' are based all over the country, including in Newcastle, Leeds, Cornwall, Shropshire, Nottingham, Liverpool, Derby and London.
The list also includes a plethora of girls based in every corner of the globe, including in Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and South America.
Their profiles state they live in Turkey, Germany, Bangladesh, Thailand, Brazil, the Philippines, Malaysia, Kenya, Australia, Ireland and seven US states.
They include photos ranging from innocent snaps of children to adults in a range of provocative positions offering sexual services or claiming to be bar dancers.
Many of the profiles appear to be fake. Some may be those used by the vigilante justice who eventually snared him.
But his catalogue of friends sends out a stark warning to parents about the very grave dangers of children using social media sites.
The child sex predator was in court on Monday where he admitted attempting to incite a 13-year-old for sex and also an offense of attempting to arrange to meet her.
