A Chama School District bus driver was arrested Thursday after police say he raped a 7-year-old student on his bus.
According to a news release from State Police on Friday, an initial investigation indicated that 66-year-old Stephen George Meek, known as "Mr. Steve," assaulted the young girl after pulling over on U.S. 84 near "TA Hill."
She was the last student left on the bus after the evil pedophile had dropped off other students after school Wednesday.
Court documents allege that the ruthless child rapist walked back to her seat on the bus and began pulling her clothes off. As she began to scream, according to the court filing, the terrorist kissed her on the mouth, licked her lips and continued to assault her.
According to the court documents, a motorist — who was identified as the mother of another child who rode the same bus earlier in the day — saw the bus pull over and became concerned because she thought the girl was still on the bus and didn't see Meek in the driver's seat.
When the motorist — who knows the girl's family — turned around and pulled up behind the bus, the child rapist drove away.
"A short time later, the motorist saw the bus pull off the road a second time," the NMSP release states. "The motorist stopped to check on the bus driver, and as the motorist got out of (the motorist's) vehicle, the child molester waved the motorist off and drove away."
Court documents state that the motorist followed the bus "to make sure she (the 7-year-old) was safe" until the girl was dropped off.
The child later told her grandparents at home that the white beast had raped her, and a physical exam also indicated that the girl had been assaulted, according to the State Police release.
The girl had a shocked look on her face when she got off the bus, her grandfather told police.
The sex terrorist, of Tierra Amarilla, was booked into the Rio Arriba County jail Thursday on three charges: first-degree criminal sexual penetration, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and enticement of a child.
The state's online court records do not show any prior criminal charges against this devil.
The 1st Judicial District Attorney's Office, which covers Santa Fe, Los Alamos and Rio Arriba counties, had filed a motion that Meek be held without bond until a pretrial detention hearing. The motion says, "The State will prove by clear and convincing evidence that no release conditions will reasonably protect the safety of any other person or the community."
A hearing has been set for Monday.
